I’ve been quite vocal about my opinions on gotek solutions. It’s been great that so many have been opened up freely to the public however some of them are ugly bulky, making it difficult to fit dust covers and generally not keeping in line with the Amiga’s beautiful aesthetic.

We recently made available our first 2.4″ screen solution but I’m not a fan of the buttons either so we have remixed the original gotec mount to provide a secure fixing for a rotary encoder. Link here

We used this rotary encoder – https://amzn.to/3SxUJ3F and programmed the gotek in-house. For those wanting to make your own, don’t pay through the nose. Check out the guide here

This remix (adapted in Fusion 360) is like the original freely downloadable from here and our amazing BBS.

Our Thanks

I want to thank so many makers and creators out there for opening up their designs and making our Amiga experiences more enjoyable. The community would not be the same without you all. We salute you. o7

For those looking for wiring on the encoder please see the flashfloppy wiki – https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy/wiki/Hardware-Mods

If you have any feedback on the design then please do get in touch. We’re happy to help improve or adapt it further for you all.
